To send SMS to customers via Hostme:
Make sure your account is verified. This needs to be done only once, usually right after you create an account. Please contact us if you have any questions on how to verify your account and/or follow instructions received from customer support.
Consider using our Android SMS app in Marketplace. It enables sending SMS free of additional charges. Check this article for detailed instructions.
Customize your text message templates for relevant notifications.
You can customize your SMS templates in Admin panel -> Guest messages.
Text and Emails
These are automated messages/emails that will be sent when someone makes a reservation, cancels it, etc.
Customer reservation reminder message
Customize a text notification that will remind the guests of their reservation. You can set how many minutes before the reservation a customer will be sent this automated message.
Status messages
Available status options are:
Canceled
Changed
Confirmed
Feedback
Invitation
Invitation accepted
Invoice
Payment reminder
Rejected
Reminder
Requested
At the bottom of this section, you can find different message tags that you can insert in your SMS messages to display reservation details and other information.
Waitlist templates
These are automated messages that will be sent when you add someone to the waitlist, call the waitlisted party, etc.
