SMS in detail (reservations and waitlist templates)

To send SMS to customers via Hostme:

  • Make sure your account is verified (this needs to be done only once, usually right after you create an account. Please contact us if you have any questions on how to verify your account.)

  • Consider using the Android app (allows sending SMS free of charge) from Marketplace

  • Customize guest message templates

You can customize your SMS templates in the Admin panel -> Guest messages.

Text and emails: These are automated messages/emails that will be sent when someone makes a reservation, cancels it, etc.

Customer reservation reminder message: Customize how many minutes before the reservation customer will be sent this automated message.


Status messages - Available status options are:

  • Canceled

  • Changed

  • Confirmed

  • Feedback

  • Invitation

  • Invitation accepted

  • Rejected

  • Reminder

  • Requested

At the bottom of this page, you can find the different message tags that you can insert in your SMS messages.

Waitlist templates:

These are automated messages that will be sent when you add someone to the waitlist, call the waitlisted party, etc.

Available status options are:

  • Approved

  • Called

  • Canceled by Host

  • Canceled by Client

  • Seated


Online ordering templates:

These are automated messages that will be sent when you add an order to the system, when order is cancelled, etc.

Available status options are:

  • Canceled

  • Changed

  • Confirmed

  • Feedback

EXAMPLE:

If you'd like to adjust sms message for reservation confirmation, this is how you can do that (in this order):

  • Notification group - Guest/reservation

  • Notification template - Guest/reservation/confirmed

  • Adjust SMS text
