When setting up Online ordering, you first need to add products and menus to Hostme in Admin panel -> Online ordering -> Menu editor.
In order to do that, please read the Online ordering - Menu editor article.

After that, you can set up Ordering Settings.

DELIVERY SETTINGS:

  • Ordering availability based on open hours

When this setting is enabled, the system uses open hours as available slots for online orders. If this setting is disabled, the system will use online reservation hours as available slots for online orders.

  • Delivery menu

This option allows you to choose which menu you want to use for delivery.

  • Online ordering cutoff time

This setting allows you to set up the time when you wish to receive the last online order for the day.

  • Advance ordering time

This option allows you to set up how much in advance (in minutes) you want customers to be able to make an online order.

  • Limit number of online orders per time slot (increment)

This option allows you to limit how many orders you can accept during one increment (max. increment size is 60 minutes).
Increments can be set up in Admin panel -> Availability -> Cover pacing.

  • Guest notes

This text will be displayed to your guests on your order page.

Then, you can set up the minimum amount eligible for delivery, as well as the distance fee in miles. Also, this is where you can set up a discount for delivery if there is any.

PICKUP SETTINGS:

  • Ordering availability based on open hours

This option allows you to choose which menu you want to use for pickup.

ENABLE TIPS:

You can enable tips for pickup and delivery orders - these amounts will be suggested to the host or the guest making an online order.

PRE-ORDER SETTINGS:

Next, you can enable Preorder service. It can be mandatory or optional. First, you have to select which menu you want to enable for pre-ordering.

DIGITAL MENU:

Hostme offers the option of using a Digital menu.

This is where you can enable VAT in your online orders.

SPECIAL REQUESTS OPTIONS

Hostme currently offers the following special requests options that you can add to your online ordering system:

  • Do not disturb

  • Need card reader

DELIVERY STATUSES

Finally, you can use Delivery Statuses for delivery and pickup which will allow your staff to more easily track each order's progress.

WIDGETS

Widgets for online ordering can be found in the Admin panel -> Online tools -> Widgets. You can simply copy the HTML code and paste it into your website.
