With the new Guest tags feature, you can now add custom tags to guest profiles — making it easier than ever to deliver personalized service and keep track of important guest details.

Whether it’s noting dining and dietary preferences, guest favorites or VIP status, tags help your team stay informed and provide exceptional guest care.

Use this guide to learn how to create, manage, and apply guest tags to streamline communication and enhance the overall experience at your restaurant.

There are two ways to add Guest tags to guest profiles.

Important note: Instructions for the Reservation wizard section apply to adding new reservations and guests as well.

Guestbook

In the guestbook, you can add or edit guest tags in existing guest profiles.

  • Search for the guest by name, phone number or email.

  • Open the guest profile.

  • Press +Add button in the Tags section.

  • Type a custom tag or select one or more of suggested ones.

  • If necessary, repeat the steps to add more guest tags.

  • Press Confirm twice.

Reservation wizard tab

You can add or edit guest tags for upcoming reservations in Table management or Reservations panel. As we already mentioned above, that applies to adding new reservations and guests, too.

  • Find the reservation by date, guest details, etc.

  • Open the reservation card.

  • Click Edit button as if you were to edit the reservation.

  • Select Guest profile tab of the wizard in the bottom part of the screen.

  • Press +Add button in the Guest tags section.

  • Type a custom tag or select one of the already suggested ones.

  • If you need to remove a guest tag, press X within the tag bubble.

  • Press Confirm twice.

Admin panel settings

  • Go to Admin panel -> Settings -> Guests tab.

  • Click Add New.

  • Type a new tag name in the text field.

  • Use the cursor to click the screen area below the text field for the changes to apply (shown in screenshot below).

  • You can change each guest tag color by using the Color picker tool on the left.

  • Select the color and click OK inside the Color picker settings.

  • Save the changes in the bottom right corner.

    Additional actions in Guests tab

  • You can sort existing tags by Name or Date of creation.

  • You can also search for existing tags by name.

  • If you delete or rename a tag in Admin panel, the change will affect all guest profiles that contain the tag.

  • VIP tag is always displayed first in guest profile and cannot be deleted.

Additional actions in Reservation panel

  • You can choose whether to display Guest tags in Reservation panel mini cards or not.
