This is a description of how the new mini cards function. We aimed to ensure the new cards are as convenient as possible for all restaurants, considering a variety of requirements during the creation process. We hope to have succeeded; however, we understand that some restaurants may require time to adapt to the new interface.
Therefore, customers have the flexibility to transition to the new mini cards at their preferred pace. This can be done by enabling the New card design toggle in Admin Panel -> Settings -> Interface Adjustments.
What's new in Table Management panel?
With the new mini cards design, the View filter has been updated to offer new options (buttons and notes). List and tile views are not available anymore.
Recommended settings for a smooth transition:
Hosts that currently have List view enabled in the view filter settings in the Table Management panel should switch to simple mini cards without Buttons enabled.
Hosts that have Tiles view enabled might prefer to switch to mini cards with the Buttons enabled in View filter settings.
Two new View modes: Buttons and Notes.
View mode toggles are enabled/disabled separately for each tab: Reservations, Waitlist, Seated, Closed. They can be selected by clicking the View filter in the upper section of the right sidebar screen of the Table Management panel:
Buttons functionality is explained respectively for each tab below.
With Notes toggle enabled, a reservation, waitlist group or walk-in will have the Reservation note or Special request displayed within the mini reservation card.
It is also possible not to use any of the modes and keep using the simple mini card as a shortcut to the Detailed reservation card (that includes phone number, email and other relevant features).
The settings are individual for each screen and device.
